Katie's got Talent

At the first of March Katie had the opportunity to try-out for the 5th grade talent show. She had to try-out in front of her class and then the class voted on two students who were able to perform in the 5th grade talent show. Katie sang "Good Morning Baltimore" from the movie Hairspray. She was so brave and stood up there in front of her class even while music was playing over the AP system for the Rock the Halls program. She didn't miss a beat (or a note)!

Katie was chosen from her class to perform! She was so excited and practiced so hard. We even went to the neighbor and had her help with the actions and a little performing. My friend, Karen, came up early the morning of the talent show and fixed Katie's hair just like she was from Hairspray. It was so cute! (Although, Katie wasn't sure what to think about it!)

Katie was amazing!!! She just sang with all her heart. She didn't miss any words and she didn't even look nervous. I am so proud of her, she is not afraid to share her talents and has the confidence that she can do it. Keep up the good work, Katie!
