Maddie Parent Teacher

I thought I would let you all know what a wonderful little girl we have. Today Maddie and I got to go to her parent teacher conference. It was a great experience. Her teacher is SO positive. She's been teaching kindergarten for years and I could really tell that she knows what she is doing with these kids.

She said that Maddie is a very positive girl who is very socially mature. She wants to learn and always cleans up after herself and takes good care of her things. She has a little bit of a problem following directions (something I've known for quite a while), she just gets too easily distracted. We're going to work on that. Her goals are to count to 30 and practice writing with lowercase letters. Can you believe she is already learning to read?

The other day she came in with her notebook, (thanks grandma Austin) that she loves and carries with her everywhere, I was surprised with the words that she had already learned to spell and write. She loves to write and draw and loves going to school.
