Yes! I love my nativity. My mom had a beautiful nativity when we were growing up, and one of my favorite memories is setting it up. I'd been keeping my eye out for one for a few years but could never find one I loved. Until, a couple of years ago, it had been a hard year, Doug's dad died, my Grandma died, Doug's uncle died, family dynamics were all out of whack. Anyway, that year Carol gave me the Willow Tree nativity. I was in love! My very favorite thing about it is the way Mary is holding and loving baby Jesus. That is one thing that always bothered me about most Nativities, I don't believe Mary would have just been standing there or kneeling there looking at her Baby she would be loving and caring for her baby. I love this nativity!
The other nativity I have my mom brought us last year from Jerusalem. It is made of Olive wood. Since olive trees can live so long, I love to think that maybe this tree actually grew where Jesus walked. It holds such special meaning!

I'm answering the questions, I'm just so chatty lately that I you have to sort through all the blah, blah, blah.
I love both of your nativity displays. I especially love the one made from olive tree wood. I have enjoyed reading all your holiday traditions.
Thanks Stacey! I'm so glad you are reading it. I enjoy your blog too! So fun to watch your girls grow up, and I'm so amazed at what a wonderful Mom you are!
