Sorry, I'm slow. Saturday was such a great day, very busy and productive and mostly enjoyable! Doug and I were able to sleep in a little bit. Then I worked on getting the basement shoveled out(my bro-in-laws are going to help Doug frame in a bedroom, hopefully, the day after Christmas), Doug worked on the upstairs and the girls (supposedly) worked on their room. The basement didn't get finished but it looks a lot better. Hopefully, I can get it finished this week.
After that we went and saw Mr. Magorium's Magical Emporium with Doug's mom. Another EXCELLENT show! Definately a must see, must buy show. I'm even wondering if we can find time to go see it again!
Then Doug and the kids went to his mom's house to help her with a couple of things and I came home and prepared a talk for Sacrament Meeting today. Later I put together card kits for a lady who I had promised them to long ago.
Friday night we had a ward party. It was so fun, one of the best I have been to. We ate dinner and then the Young Men helped the kids with a craft and the Young Women wrapped the presents for the family we adopted. There was also a movie going on for the kids. The adults were able to visit and spend time playing an "answer the questions" game. After the children sang to us we were visited by Santa. What fun! Even the bigger kids got to sit on his lap. We live in a wonderful area with wonderful neighbors, we love to spend time with them!
Question of the day: What's on top of your tree? We have 2 giant snowflakes! I love them. I have had a beautiful procelain angel that Alesa and Holly gave us the first year we were married and I loved it so much! But, as my tree took a turn from being matchy, matchy white lights, glass blown hearts and candy canes to crazy Disney and Dr Seussy ornaments the Angel just didn't seem to match anymore. I found these giant snowflakes and knew they would be perfect!
