Wrapped or unwrapped?

At our house santa brings some of the presents wrapped and some unwrapped. Santa decided that for little kids opening the gifts is half the fun! So, anything that is in a box is wrapped. There are always gifts that are arranged cutely by their stockings.

When I was growing up Santa never wrapped anything (until we got older then it seemed like the "big" gift that we really wanted would be wrapped- helped it be more suspensful!) everything was sitting in our piles around the family room. One of my best memories of Santa gifts involved Travis's, not mine. He must have been around 10 or so and he wanted a gun (I think it was a BB gun) so bad. Well, we had looked at everything from Santa and we were starting play with things, I even think some of us had moved into the kitchen to get breakfast. It was obvious Travis was a little disappointed but I don't remember that he had said anything. Well, my dad was looking around under the tree, when he said; "What's this I see back here?" That sneaky Santa had hidden Travis's gun behind the Christmas tree! What fun!
Picture is Katie's and Maddie's presents from Santa in 2006. Yes, the monkey and the bear are their stockings. About 15 years ago Holly made us all "Stuffed animal stockings" and since then when new family members come along we make a new one. Oh, speaking of which, I still don't think Bevan has one... I better get working on that!
