I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes. Katie just brought home a note from her teacher telling us about a girl in the class whose mom passed away last night. Although I don't know this woman personally I know who she is, and Katie and the little girl have been in the same class a couple of different years. This woman is probably about my age, possibly even younger. Nothing like that to bring your mortality a little closer. I am so sad for this young, little, family. Their lives will never be the same! I will definately be hugging my kids a little tighter tonight! Make sure you hug yours too and be grateful for the time we have together.

It's sad that sometimes it takes stories like that for us to realize how special our lives are and more than that, how sacred our calling as mothers are...we get so caught up in our day to day lives and forget to literally treasure every second we have! We never know what our future will bring us.
