Sorting

I started my Library of Memories class at Big Picture scrapbooking.com last Thurs. So excited! Stacey Julian talked for over an hour (love to listen to her!) and then gave us the assignment to start sorting our printed pictures into years and then seasons or quarters. I've never been one to worry about whether or not I was "caught up" in my scrapbooking but as I've been sorting I've found it interesting to see what years I have a ton of pictures for. You can definately tell that I had some busy years! Also, so amazing how most all of my scrapbooking is done for the years before I had kids! Funny how they change your life and time priorities so much. I think I've got all my pictures sorted into years, now to go through them and get them sorted into quarters. I'm getting really anxious to scrapbook, I've spent so much time organizing that I haven't had much time to create. But I have to say, when I do sit down to create I am going to be able to whip them out!
Going to Salt Lake to pick up my grandma from the airport tomorrow. First of all, I'm getting my hair cut and colored and then we're going to go down and spend some time with Alesa. Maddie is out of school tomorrow, thurs, and Fri. and Katie is out Thurs and Fri for parent teacher. I'm kind of glad to have them home for a couple of days. I've really been trying hard to enjoy my time with them instead of wishing they would grow up.
When I was sorting today I found my old journals. (Middle school years) Wow! I'm amazed I accomplished or learned anything during those years. Isn't it amazing how our perspectives change? I'm sure I'll be looking back at these posts in 15 years and thinking how little I knew. BTW, are you printing out your blog entries? That's my goal for this weekend. Get my blog entries printed and put into a binder. This was when the internet is obsolete I'll still have all these records.
Have a good one!

I was wondering if you can print out your blog entries. What a great idea. That will make a great journal. Thanks for the idea. Have a great weekend. Good Luck with your organization.

Once you get your stuff organized, you are more than welcome to come and do mine as well :-) It sounds like you have a plan to get it done...maybe that's my problem -- I plan to get a plan, but that is as far as I get!

I am definately printing mine out...you can print them on blurb.com. They have blog books and they come all bound and everything for you. That's what keeps me motivated with my blog...to know that I'm staying in touch with everyone and doing my journal writing at the same time!
