So, one of the very best things to come from my change in exercise and eating habits is my ability to have good sleep and wake up early. It started immediately (like the first morning after I started exercising). I go to sleep before 11:00 and wake up at 6:00, bright eyed and ready to get up and start the day! I'm so excited, it has been a hard winter. Having to drag myself out of bed at 8-8:30 then being behind for the rest of the day. It's crazy!
Now, if my muscles weren't so sore it would be even easier to get up and get things done. I keep telling myself it will get better. I hope it does soon. I know there will always be some soreness but this is ridiculous, it's almost unbearable. Thank goodness for hot jet baths, essential oils and ibuprofen!
Oh, and I registered for a 5k tomorrow. What was I thinking????? I did this same one last year, but I had prepared for it, and was able to run about 1/2 way. This year really no prep except for this week. I'm trying to be ok with the fact that I am going to be walking most (all) of it, the only thing is it's hard on my ego to be the last one. Thankfully there is a 10k at the same time so others don't notice as much that I'm the last. :) Thanks to Alesa for doing it with me!!!! I think that if the first half of it weren't all uphill (it goes up the canyon- by my mom's house) I'd do better. Oh well, maybe I can run a little way down. Funny, a month ago I wouldn't have dreamed of doing this. What's up????

Good luck on the 5k tomorrow. I think it's great for you to do it, even if you end up walking a lot of it. Atleast your trying and that's way more than I could say for myself right now!
