Fun Times!

Katie's the one in the middle in the red dress.

This past weekend was our city's celebration. (One of the things I love about living in a small town!) We had such a fun time. The girls have been practicing for the last couple of weeks for the children's theatre "Sleeping Beauty, Western Style" or "The Town that Couldn't Wake Up". It was a lot of practice time but so fun and the girls had such a great time!

We did the 5k, the girls went to a pancake breakfast, the parade, the park for booths and some small rides, to Travis's house for Mom's day dinner, the play, and finally watched the fireworks. Wow! That was all on Saturday. Busy, busy day, but so much fun!

On Sun. we went to Doug's mom's house for Mom's Day. It was so nice to be there with his family. (Everyone was there except for Brian's family- they live too far away.) We ate yummy food, played outside and finished the night with a game of "Horse" (basketball). So fun to be together!

Then we finished it up on Monday night with doing the play one last time. Whew! We made it. One more week of CRAZY life and then things slow down a little bit. It never totally slows down but at least I'm not running like a crazy lady. It seems like every year we grab hold and hang on for dear life from about the middle of April 'til the mid/end of May. I really do enjoy it, but, man, it's full!

How fun to have your kids in a play! You had a jam packed full of fun weekend! Lots of memories. It will be nice to have summer come and slow down a little bit, but you're right it never slows down, especially for you!! :)
