Body Bugged, that is! This wasn't something I was going to "put out there for all the world to see", but because I am feeling so positive about this and because I think when I make myself accountable to others I seem to be a lot more successful. So, for those of you who don't know, a Body Bugg is a device you wear on your upper arm and it has the ability to tell how many calories you are burning. It really is quite amazing. If you watch the show "The Biggest Loser" you have probably seen them wearing them.
I started a "Body Bugg Biggest Loser Challenge" at a local gym. It really is quite a scarey, out of my comfort zone, type of thing. We all received the Body Bugg and then we are on a team. It is a team competition based on % of weight lost and working out. We work out everyday, as a team, with a trainer. Can I say, "ouch"! I have never worked out so hard or hurt so much! We've had 2 days of working out and I can barely move. I know that this will get better (at least I hope). Today we went to the University stadium and went up and down all the sets of stairs on the East side of the stadium. Then we came down to the field and serpentined up and down every single yard line. Wow! It was a work out!
This seems to be a really good thing for me. It takes an amazing amount of time and I feel like I have had to sacrifice some things, but I know in the future it will really pay off! Well, now that I've told you all this, I'm sure that you'll be hearing more about it. And hopefully you will be hearing my good results too. Btw, it is a totally healthy way of living and something that I am hoping will become a habit after 8 weeks and I'll be able to continue on to a healthier, more energetic body.

WOW!! What a wonderful challenge. It sounds like you are really excited about it. I know you will do great. Good Job!! In this era it is so hard to commit to a healthy lifestyle. I battle with it everyday.
Way to go! Climbing the steps at the university? Ummm...that is dedication! As they would say down here "Good on ya!" Good luck and keep us posted.
Way to go Steph! I think after 8 weeks it should be a habit. I want to hear all about it, so keep us updated!
Good job! I'm very proud of you! Like I said, I wouldn't be able to make it up those stairs!
I'm not really into the Biggest Loser but when I do happen to watch it, I cry every time! I hear the workout book that Jillian put out is awesome. It sounds like you are doing those type of brutal exercises. Good luck with the competition! That is always a motivator for me :)
